At a certain age one is ready to assume the rights of adulthood. Adulthood is when one reaches a certain age of maturity. Many people argue on what this age should be. I personally believe it is the age where you graduate high school. I believe that this age is 18. You gain the rights of adulthood at 18 because you now live on your own, and are responsible for urself. Also, many new things are available to you legally, and you are responsible for what happens. You also need to take on the responsibility of a job so you can buy food and pay for shelter because it may no longer be provided to you.
